While addressing the KVS Golden Jubilee Celebration, PM Dr. Singh said no. of IITs has increased from 7 to 16 and IIMs from 6 to 13. But i don't think its about quantity, its all about quality. We already having lacs of institutions, adding more doesn't make sense. the question in the core is; the existing institutions are serving as the centre of excellence in technical education or not?

My point is, why to open new ones, lets step towards making others Non-IIT like a pioneer in the field. we need to revive the infra, faculty and research opportunities in the pre-existing colleges.

IIT-IIM are premiere brands and opening them by every street isn't a bright idea for sure. Imagine 1000 IITs ...is it an achievement?
